Whitewater Park expanding

Boise's popular Whitewater Park, on the banks of Waterhouse Row, will expand beginning in November, 2017.

Those who love to follow the water can have even more fun doing so with the expansion of  the Boise Whitewater Park near Waterhouse Row.

In November, the city will kick off Phase 2 of this project by constructing new tiered seating and take-out and put-in points for surf boards, kayaks and other water craft.  The second phase will also include an adjustable wave shaper and more boulders that produce a variety of wave types for a range of skill levels.

You can thank the generosity of the J. A. and Kathryn Albertson Family Foundation for this incredible Boise River playground.  The Albertson Family Foundation donated $5.2 million total for both phases of this $7 million Whitewater Park.

Phase two will be open in the summer of 2019.

HAVEN OR HEAVEN? Either way, dirt and town homes are moving at Waterhouse Row

Dirt is moving at Waterhouse Row and only a few extraordinary town homes are left in Phase 1 of the development.  With such a desirable location -- on the edge of the Boise River and Greenbelt and in the heart of the most vibrant and growing live + work neighborhood in the Boise area -- people are anxious to reserve their piece of haven/heaven.  If you are interested in finding out which town homes at Waterhouse Row Phase I are still available, please email info@waterhouserow.com or call 208-343-4606.

Planning for Phase II of Waterhouse Row is underway with construction slated to begin in 2018, so please stay tuned for more information about Waterhouse Row Phase II.

This Wave to the Greenbelt

A pedestrian-friendly walkway will keep foot and bike traffic flowing from the Greenbelt to 35th street and local restaurants and retailers.

Encouraging foot and bike traffic in the River District is an important consideration for Waterhouse Row.   A pedestrian-friendly gate, featuring an iconic wave that pays tribute to the nearby Whitewater Park, will be installed on the east side of the development -- keeping cars out and walkers and bikers in. The electronic gate, designed by Garden City's own Foster Weld, will be accessible to fire and emergency personnel only.

If you ever get tired of sipping cappuccino or cabernet from the incredible patio at your new town home in Waterhouse Row, you'll be able to step out your front door, take a quick left and enjoy Caffe Luciano.  Set to open in the spring of 2017 near the bridge at the corner of Prospect Way and Adams streets, Caffe Luciano is the little brother to the popular and award winning Luciano's Italian restaurant (Best Local Italian, 2015-2016 Best of Boise).

Caffe Luciano adds to a growing number of fine eateries and drinkeries within a jaunt of Waterhouse Row, including Telaya Winery and The Sandbar at the Riverside Hotel.
